How we work.
Every Boxwood project follows the same creative process from the first conversation to the final walkthrough. Here is what that looks like.
1. PLANNING AND FEASIBILITY
Every project starts with an honest conversation. We visit the site, take measurements, evaluate the existing conditions, and give you a real picture of what the project involves, what it will cost, and how long it will take. We identify permit and zoning requirements early so nothing surprises you later.
What you get at the end of this stage: a rough budget estimate, a project scope outline, and an initial design direction.
2. DESIGN
With the scope established we move into detailed design. This means architectural drawings, structural plans where required, material selections, and interior design decisions. We work through revisions with you until the plan reflects exactly what you want. Nothing moves forward until you have approved the final design.
What you get at the end of this stage: final construction drawings, a complete specifications package, and an updated cost estimate.
3. PERMITTING AND APPROVALS
We submit plans to the local building department, coordinate zoning approvals, and handle HOA submissions if applicable. We build with inspections in mind so the permit process moves smoothly and does not create delays once construction begins.
What you get at the end of this stage: approved permits and a permit set ready for construction.
4. CONSTRUCTION
This is where the plan becomes reality. Victor is on every job throughout the construction phase, not handing off to a crew you have never met. You will know what is happening at every stage. When something unexpected comes up, and on any renovation something always does, we tell you immediately and come with a solution rather than just a problem.
What you get at the end of this stage: a fully constructed space built to the approved plans and specifications.
5. PROJECT CLOSEOUT
Construction is not done when the last trade leaves. We do a thorough punch list walkthrough, address every outstanding item, and make sure the space is genuinely finished before we consider the project complete. You get a final walkthrough with Victor, all permit closeout documentation, and a handover package with warranty information and care instructions for your finishes and systems.
What you get at the end of this stage: a completed space, closed permits, and full documentation.
